PharmD and Master of Science in Instruction and Curriculum Leadership
Educating others is a key responsibility as a pharmacist. Pharmacy students could
pursue a career that involves educating future pharmacists in the classroom and the
clinical setting. Additional training and knowledge in educational pedagogy can help
pharmacy students thrive as classroom instructors and clinical preceptors. In response
to this need, the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Pharmacy
(UTHSC-COP), and the University of Memphis, Department of Instruction and Curriculum
Leadership (UM-ICL), have formed a cooperative program that will enable professional
students enrolled in the PharmD program at UTHSC to simultaneously earn a Master of
Science degree in Instruction and Curriculum Leadership from the University of Memphis.
- Courses offered online by the University of Memphis – Department of Instruction and Curriculum Leadership
- 30 credit program (8 credits can be applied to the elective requirement of the Doctor of Pharmacy degree)
- Requirements: Completion of 1 year of the Doctor of Pharmacy Program with a GPA 3.0 or higher
